BEST WEEK EVER? AQUA TEEN HUNGER FORCE

Was hanging out with my friend (one of the funniest people on the planet) Peter Harrison today - and the news about the Boston Bomb Scare came over the wires (no pun intended) ... We both stood in awe and shock over what is definitely the most successful advertising campaign in recent history. But what of the fallout? The cops already have their Oswald, but surely something else must be done to curb this flagrant use of LED electronics. And to quote the great 1940s smut writer named Anonymous, "If not something, then what!"

Soon Peter and I came up with a joke, which I have to share - essentially:

"Just watch, because of this, Lite Brite will be deemed a Schedule I Substance by morning..."

Funny to consider, but with this sort of ridiculous thing happening, who the hell really knows.

It's important then, to make the following important statement:

THIS IS NOT A BOMB!

Josh writes in with news that Boston police & authorities are detonating blinky Aqua Teen Hunger Force art -

Ignignokt from Aqua Teen has been a reoccuring theme in art projects and random builds. Were these Ignignokts left around Boston a part of an alternative art project gone awry? I love how CBS describes a Ignignokt made from circuit board as a "device". Very threatening. Even if it was just something random, it sort of shows the folly of our security-obsessed world when a fictional martian can set a major city on high alert.

We obviously had nothing to do with this, but for some reason CNN mentioned MAKE -- if the authorities or CNN wish to speak to someone they can call me (Phillip Torrone, Senior Editor at any time - my info is all over the place, I'm not sure what CNN said or why they did not contact us - 206-355-1323)....
